Knife Assualt Survival Programme

DONT BECOME A VICTIM

SO WHAT SORT OF TRAINING IS NEEDED

AND WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?

REALISTIC TRAINING:

You will be amazed to know that self defence training is very different from a martial art, though they all have benefits martial arts is a system of techniques trained in a safe sterile environment and are looking for self perfection, however in a self defence situation, we are not looking for perfection, were looking for self preservation, there is no order in chaos so you have to know what works and what does not work and it does not matter what it looks like!

Self defence is about surviving the encounter with as little actual fighting possible, all the time you are in the close   proximity of another person wishing to do you harm ups the chances of getting injured even if you seem to be getting the upper hand! Self defence is 90% Mindset and 10% technique.

TRADITIONAL MARTIAL ARTS IS DIFFERENT TO SELF DEFENCE!

Most martial arts training do not even have knife defence training in their syllabus, even when they do its most about 90% technique and 10% mindset!

You don't know what can happen, they could pull a knife, pick up a bottle, so awareness,  evasion  and escaping is our prime directive’s however we also need to know what to do in the worst case scenarios when we have exhausted those options.

Bad things happen to nice people, theres no point in denial, “my area is too nice for that to happen”, or “ i don't hang around with them sort of people” ! Unfortunately sometimes trouble finds you and we teach you how to deal with it.

Perfect intentions overwhelm perfect technique!

Heading 2

THE SELF DEFENCE METHOD OF TRAINING IS SIMPLER

Self defence takes less time to get sufficient to look after yourself as its designed to be easy to learn, train and retain, quick, effective and direct, your either 100 % committed to going in or going out, its as simple as that!

HOW DO YOU LEARN TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION?

This is learned by  training our common objective,  your gut feeling and learning how to change your mind set, so you can become the attacker with a click of a switch, to go from pray to predator without thinking about it, this decision is made in a fraction of a second by looking at pre fight indicators, body language, verbal and physical escalation and learning to squeeze the freeze, this is our way of shortening the time of the freeze flinch response, and making a decision and sticking with it 100 %, this means its easier to deal with making that important decision to fight or flight.

Whats the difference between a knife threat and an  attack?

An attack is in flight, with movement, usually without warning, an ambush, ferocious and deadly.

A threat is usually someone making a demand using the knife or edged weapon to install fear, threat motives can be possessions such as money, valuables and personal belongings, your body, such as rape, torture, murder and information, where, when, what etc?

These different scenarios regarding a knife have to be dealt with differently, we always say that everything is situational and contextual. Where a threat is concerned, the only thing keeping you alive is the “Demand” . Once the demand has been satisfied and met, it is now the at the attackers desertion whether or not they attempt to kill you!

We also train you in basic medic trauma first aid to control catastrophic bleeding using methods taught in the military that could save your life or the life of others, if facing life changing injuries.
